The School LAND Trust Program, established by the legislature in 1999, distributes a portion of the annual earnings from the permanent School Fund through districts and charter schools to all public schools in the state.
The annual distribution from the School LAND Trust program has grown from $4.95 million in the 2001-2002 school year to a planned distribution of over $88.83 million in 2020-2021.
Our School Community Council exists to monitor and approve how Valley High distributes these funds. Each year, the principal writes a Land Trust plan complete with measurable goals and outcomes to present to the council. Please click here to see the current draft of Valley's Land Trust Plan.
After review, the council then determines if the plan helps Valley remain the best possible environment for its students. Feel free to email any member with concerns. You may also call the school at (801) 572-7035 and ask for any administrator or counselor you feel comfortable talking to. We welcome your concerns and suggestions.
